Creating Sweet Love Cards with the Heartfelt Cardmakers Kit

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of sweet love cards made with the Heartfelt Cardmakers Kit. The beautiful patterned papers and pretty embellishments in this kit inspired me to create three easy cards perfect for sending love this spring.

Love & Hugs Card

The gorgeous floral chipboard ampersand and pretty matching patterned paper in the kit caught my eye immediately. Here I paired them with some die-cuts and stickers to create this soft and pretty love card.

Trim a piece of patterned paper from the paper pad to 4” x 5.25”, mat it with Onyx Cardstock, and adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with a tape runner. Die cut a frame from white cardstock using some of the Fluted Circles Dies and adhere in the center of the card with foam adhesive.

Pop the chipboard ampersand from the kit into the center of the circular frame.  Die cut white and Onyx Cardstock using the Handwritten Sentiments Die Set and adhere on opposite sides of the frame. Finish off the card by embellishing it with the chipboard swallows and glitter foam hearts from the kit.

Love Scooter Card

And how adorable are the scooter and balloons from the Ciao Die Set?! I picked my colors from one of the patterned papers in the kit to build this cute scooter scene, perfect for saying hello or goodbye to a loved one.

Die cut Pink Sand, Wild Berry, Peach Sorbet, Sage, Chamomile, Raindrop, Onyx, and white Cardstock using the Ciao Die Set and assemble the scooter and balloons with liquid glue. Die-cut white cardstock using one of the Mirrored Arch Dies, blend blue ink around the edges and add a small strip of green patterned paper from the kit to the bottom to mimic grass.

Trim the heart-patterned paper to 4” x 5.25” and adhere to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with a tape runner.  Add the arch panel to the center of the card front with foam adhesive and pop the scooter up on top with more foam adhesive.  Embellish the card with a chipboard sentiment and glitter foam hearts from the kit.

Floral Tag Card

One of the things I like to do with patterned paper to stretch my supplies is fussy-cut designs from them to use as embellishments. Here I trimmed out some pretty florals from the patterned paper pad in the kit to create this simple and pretty love card.

Trim the woodgrain patterned paper from the pad down to 4” x 5.25” and adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. Fussy-cut several floral bunches out from the green floral patterned paper in the pad and set aside. Die-cut white cardstock using the Create A Decorative Tag Die Set and tie a bow at the top using Dark Rose Narrow Ribbon.

Adhere the tag off-kilter onto the front of the card with foam adhesive and then pop the fussy-cut flowers up on one side of the tag using more foam adhesive. To finish off the card, add a stack of sentiments, hearts, and the tiny butterfly from the puffy stickers in the kit to the other side of the tag.
