Propagation Garden Collection Introduction with Annie Williams

Hi there crafty friends, this is Annie Williams and I’m so excited to introduce my new collection with Spellbinders called Propagation Garden. This collection is inspired by my career in molecular biology as well as a love for gardening and anything leafy and lively. Audrey Hepburn once said that “to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow” and I wanted to convey that optimism and sense of wonderment about growth and new beginnings in this collection.

Collection is available on April 10th.

There are seven products in this collection – three die sets, a BetterPress plate set, a stamp and die set, an embossing folder, and a wax seal stamp.  Each product was carefully designed to be versatile while also working with all of the other sets in the collection.  I hope you’ll be inspired to create all kinds of beautiful and blooming projects!

Propagated Plants Die Set

The Propagated Plants Die Set allows you to create six different leafy plants with lots of layers and embossed details.  Choose from the pothos, monstera, peperomia, bamboo, string of pearls, and spider plants to fill one of the containers from the Laboratory Glassware Die Set, use in leafy cluster, or place in a vase from your stash.  Two types of roots are also included to add to any plant in the set for use with either of the propagation garden systems.

Laboratory Glassware Die Set

The Laboratory Glassware Die Set includes all the dies you need to build five different layered glass containers – conical flask, round-bottom flask, beaker, test tube, and glass jar.  Add plants from the Propagated Plants Die Set for a fun and unique garden container or use the glassware on its own to create a laboratory scene for scientists or science-enthusiasts.  Fill any of the containers with seasonal items for holiday cards (hearts for Valentine’s Day or bubbling potions for Halloween?).  And don’t forget to fill them with your favorite long-stemmed flowers as well!

Propagation Garden Frames Die Set

The Propagation Garden Frames Die Set provides the foundation for the other two die sets in the collection on which to build a variety of different propagation gardens.  Choose from either a rectangular frame style or sawhorse style and add containers and plants from the Laboratory Glassware and Propagated Plants Die Set to complete the look.  Three test tubes or two of any of the other types of containers will fit on either style of garden frame, so the possibilities are almost endless!  With beautiful wood grain embossing on each die and a sawhorse design that looks positively three-dimensional, you’ll have tons of fun creating lifelike plant projects.  Bonus – remove the crossbar from the rectangular frame and you have a beautiful picture frame as well!

Propagation Garden Sentiments Stamp & Die Set

The Propagation Garden Sentiments Stamp & Die Set is the perfect accompaniment to any of the other products in the collection.  In a beautiful and modern font, we’ve included tons of growth- and gardening-inspired quotes, as well as eight, dies to cut many of them out.  Six dies cut out the largest of the sentiments, while the large and small plaque dies cut out of number of other sentiments to place onto some of the frames and containers in the collection.  Bubble and tick mark stamps are also included to embellish any of the Laboratory Glassware die-cuts.

Tropical Leaves Press Plate & Die Set

The Tropical Leaves Press Plate & Die Set includes five beautiful and intricate leaf designs as well as the dies to cut each one out.  Press them in black BetterPress ink and watercolor them for a gorgeous and colorful look or use a variety of green inks for a simpler look.  Arrange them as a cluster for focal points or borders and background patterns for a leafy accent.  Don’t forget to foil them with your Glimmer Hot Foil System for even more options! These leaves are perfect for summertime cards as well.

Leafy Helix Embossing Folder

I love embossing folders and use them on almost every card, so I jumped at the opportunity to include one in this collection.  The Leafy Helix Embossing Folder can provide your projects with an intricate vine background or just an accent panel.  Mixed in amongst the flowing leaves is a subtle helix design, which is a nod to my career in biology and perfect for the science-enthusiasts in your life.  The folder is 5.5” x 8.5”, so it’s possible to emboss the background of all of the popular sizes of cards.  Ink it before or after and use both the embossed and debossed sides of your cardstock for tons of possibilities.

Oval Hello Wax Seal Stamp

Lastly, I thought with all of the leafy sprigs in this collection, a wax seal would be a wonderful embellishment for even more options on your card projects.  Using the same beautiful font as the stamp and die set, the Oval Hello Wax Seal Stamp is simple and pretty and easy to press.  This design looks great stamped in monochromatic or marbled wax and is decidedly easy to highlight with metallic markers if desired.  Say “hello” to growth, new beginnings, and new friends!
