Classics March Inspiration | Ink Blended Circles Card with Kaja
Hi there, It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am super honored to be guest designing for Spellbinders this week. For my cards, I will be using dies from a brand new Classics March release.
Take a look at my first project:
I started by ink blending the whole panel of my watercolor paper. I decided to use Distress oxides since they blend really easily, and the results are awesome even without a lot of effort. I used four colors: Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Faded Jeans.
Next, I sprinkled some water directly on the panel and then wipe it away with tissue. This gives it a nice splotchy look and since I used watercolor paper I got even better result.
Then, I decided that I will use circles on my card. I picked up 5 of them, 2 of which are from Fancy Edged Circles and the other 3 are from Scored and Pierced Circles. I positioned it over my ink blended panel in the order I wanted to have on my card. When I was happy with how it looked I run it through my die cut machine to cut it.
I used my liquid glue to glue the circles on the card base and then I stamped the ‘congrats!’ sentiment in black on the biggest circle I have on my card.
To finish the card off I added a stamped hummingbird that I popped up with some foam tape.
Distress oxide Pine needles, Distress oxide Cracked pistachio, Distress oxide Broken china, Distress oxide Faded jeans, Pretty pink posh Hummingbird thanks stamp set, Versafine Onyx black ink
Thank you so much for joining me today. I will be back at Spellbinders blog soon and I hope you will join me again next time!
I love the tiny sentiment you used on your card. Thanks for sharing your cute card.
The blended colors are wonderfully done. Good choice of colors. The circles from the new Die Sets for March are so versatile. Love them.
