Welcome to Day 7 of the 12 Days of Stitchmas! I am Nichol Spohr and today I have two fun stitched cards to share with you featuring the lovely Bell Die hidden behind door number 7 in your 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar!
I have created two cards to share with you. The first card is an interactive design where the bell moves back and forth when the card is tilted from side to side and the other card shares 2 stitched bells “tied” together with a beautiful red ribbon plus a die cut and embossed background. Both designs feature glimmered and die-cut banner greetings.
Watch video tutorial below or on our Youtube channel:
For my first card, I trimmed the Brushed Silver Cardstock and White Cardstock from the stitching kit. On the white layer, I used the die-cut “snowflake” from the bell in several places around the background and stitched silver snowflakes with the DMC Diament Metallic Thread. The 2 layers were adhered to a white top fold card base. The bell components were die-cut from Brushed Silver Cardstock and stitched with red and pink DMC thread. The bell was assembled so that the round part moves back and forth. Jewel embellishments add to the wow factor. A glimmered and die-cut banner greeting was added below the bell on the card.
For the second card, White Cardstock was die cut with a Notched Frames Die and embossed with the Ornaments 3D Embossing Folder for texture. Two bells were stitched and assembled and adhered to the background with foam adhesive as shown. This time the bells are not interactive. The background was adhered to a white card base and the bells and background were embellished with jewels. A beautiful red ribbon was tied in a bow and adhered to the top of the bells as shown. A glimmered and die-cut banner greeting was added below the bell on the card.
I hope you enjoyed watching the bells come together! I will be stitching up all the 12 Days of Stitchmas and would love if you checked them out at nicholspohr.com ! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what’s behind the door for Day 8! Happy stitching!
