Stampendous Holiday Hugs Ideas

Hi Spellbinders friends! It’s Angela Tombari here. I have three creative cards to share with you today, made with Holiday Hugs by Stampendous. The dies in the collection are very simple to assemble and the sentiments on the stamp sets are so fun.  Together, they can be combined into endless possibilities!

The first card I would like to show you is made using Santa Hugs dies. I assembled Santa using his classic colors, red for the dress and black for the belt and boots.

The card simulates an envelope. I used the striped lines from Holiday Hugs Sentiments on two corners of the card. In the top right corner, I placed a stamp that I created using Postage Edge Shapes Squares. To make it more fun, I included a short sentiment inside the stamp.

For the card base, I used Stampendous’ Quick Card Backgrounds pack called Holiday Splash. The patterned papers are in the classic Christmas colors, red and green, and have an interesting mixed-media design that gives depth to the cards.

My next card is made using Snowman Hugs dies. For each snowman I cut the body three times, to give dimension and I glued the snowmen directly onto the patterned paper. In particular, I chose the snow scene pattern from the Winter Splash pack.

It is worth to mention that the back of these cardstocks is white. This is an advantage because it gives you the ability to create a quick card by simply folding the cardstock in half.

To finish up the card, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the snowman’s body in the center, and voilà. Aren’t their faces the cutest?

For my last card, I created a swirl of colorful snowmen using all the bright colors from the Spellbinders sampler pack. To create this card I was inspired by the adorable spiral sentiment from Snowman Hugs Faces and Sentiments, which is the sentiment I embossed in gold in the center.

The snowman die is again from Snowman Hugs set. It contains two sizes of snowman dies. Here, I used the smaller version of the snowman and I dressed it up with its tiny accessories, scarf, and hat.

To add some sparkly effects to the card, I added a second piece of body cut from gold glitter cardstock. I stuck it under each snowman, slightly offset so that it peeks out. Last, I stamped a few black snowflakes on the background and I called the card finished!

That’s all for today, dear friends. Thank you so much for visiting  Spellbinders blog. I hope you enjoyed my cards and I hope you will give the adorable Stampendous Holiday Hugs collection a try.

Love, Angela
