Hurrah! Celebrate Game Day!
Cardmaking,  Die Cutting

Hurrah! Celebrate Game Day!

Hello, cardmakers and friends! Pam Sparks here from Expressions With Heart. I’m so excited to be sharing cards from the Game Day Die and Stamp collection by Justine Dvorak! Tim and I have a lot of grandsons and when I saw this collection I was thrilled! Everything you need to make Sports cards!  YAY!

Hurrah! Celebrate Game Day!

I have three A2 size cards to share and some cute little sports pennants that would work to stick in cupcakes or whatever you can think of!

The first card I made…You’re in a league of your own!  Bowling!

Hurrah! Celebrate Game Day!

I die cut and glued up the images from the Sporting Goods die set, heat embossed the sentiment from the All-Star Sentiments stamp set in white on red cardstock, and made a landscape background panel with kraft cardstock that I scored in ¼ inch increments.

I trimmed down the kraft panel and layered it on a black cardbase. On the inside, I added a white panel for the sentiment and personal message. So delighted to have images for bowling now!

The second card I made… Have a ball on your Birthday!

For this card, I made up the shirt from the Athletic Apparel die set. I figured out what pieces I needed from the set, die cut, and glued them up. I lightly drew some pin-striping on the shirt with a teal color pencil and used a Sakura white glaze pen for the buttons. A white gel pen would work too!

I used the #1 from the All-Star Sentiments stamp set, heat embossed it with white embossing powder on teal cardstock, and punched it with an ½ inch circle punch. Adhered it to the shirt.

I die cut and glued up the bat and ball from the Sporting Goods die set, added some red stitching to the ball with a Zig Writer marker and white heat embossed the sentiments from the All-Star Sentiments stamp set on black cardstock.

The background panel is the Sports Talk Embossing Folder!  It’s so cool! I placed my white cardstock panel so  ‘take me out to the ball game’  would be at the top!  I know, I made you sing it! haha

The third card I made… All-Star 43!

Hurrah! Celebrate Game Day!

I started out by stamping an A2 panel of kraft cardstock with the Goal-Getter sentiment stamp from the All-Star Sentiments stamp set in Potting Soil Archival Ink. I lightly penciled ruled lines on the panel for stamping and erased them when the ink dried. I trimmed it down and ink-blended some Distress Gathered Twigs ink around the perimeter.

Layered the stamped, kraft panel to a white panel and then to a black cardbase. A white panel on the inside for the sentiment and message.

With the Athletic Apparel die set I created a basketball shirt.  So fun!  I stamped the All-Star sentiment above the numbers using the MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Look how fun the Jersey Numbers die set is!  I love all of this collection! Easy to glue up too!I made the basketballs from the Sporting Goods die set! Everything you can imagine in this set!

I made a football card and a volleyball card that will appear on my blog in the near future. I’d love it if you’d visit me on my blog and instagram. Thank you so much for visiting the Spellbinders blog today.  I hope you’re inspired to make Sports cards!
