The Flower Market Stencil Collection – Layered Stencils Card Ideas

Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today! I’m sharing two cards featuring the Flower Market Stencil Collection!! As much as I LOVE coloring, there is just something about ink-blending with stencils that is so relaxing and soothing, isn’t there?

HELLO CONEFLOWERS

For my first card, I stenciled the first four layers of the Coneflower Layered Stencil Set onto white cardstock using dye inks and blending brushes. For the fifth layer, I masked off the dots in the centers of the flowers and inked the lines in the petals with dye ink. Then I masked off the petals and applied gold glitter gel to the dots in the centers of the flowers.

Once the glitter gel was dry, I die-cut the panel with the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator Die Set and adhered it to a panel of Plum cardstock. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Script Sentiments Die Set. The top layer was cut from pinkish-purple glitter cardstock and the bottom layer was cut four times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then added to the lower left corner and this card was finished.

HELLO FRIEND BLOSSOMING FLOWERS

My second card features the Blossoming Flowers Layered Stencils. I blended the first three layers with dye inks and blending brushes, as I did on the first card. For the last layer, I added pearlescent pink stencil butter, then set it aside to dry.

Once the stencil butter was dry, I die-cut the panel with the largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator Die Set and adhered it to an A2 panel of Waterfall cardstock. The sentiment, from the January 2023 Clear Stamp of the month, was stamped with bright pink dye ink, then cut out with its Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered them behind the stamped one before adhered it to the lower right corner of the card. Aura AB Color Essential Gems adorn the centers of the flowers and draw your eye to the sentiment.
