Flower Market Stencils with Mindy Eggen
Hello crafty friends! This is Mindy Eggen and I’m excited to be back on the Spellbinders blog to share some inspiration with you featuring the Flower Market Stencil collection.
This collection is a nice break from all of the Christmas inspiration that is in full swing! When starting my project, I wanted to keep things simple by sticking to one color palette. I will use these chosen colors throughout both cards.
The design of the stencils fills up an entire card front and I wanted to tone that down a bit so I created a layered frame for the front of the cards. I’m using the Essential Arches die set with Purple and Light Grey cardstock that matches the colors in the design.
Each frame is popped up with foam to add separation and dimension.
One of my favorite die sets from Spellbinders is the Everyday Sentiments collection. It is a great staple to have! I die-cut a couple of the sentiments from Black cardstock and added multiple layers, again for dimension.
Framing the design and limiting my color palette helps me feel not so overwhelmed when I sit down to create. I hope these tips help you as well!
Thank you so much for joining me today! You can find me on Instagram, Youtube and blog.
