Windows With A View Collection Introduction with Tina Smith

Hello friends! This is Tina Smith and I’m so excited to introduce my new collection with Spellbinders called Windows With a View.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a daydreamer. As one of six kids, it was common for me to tuck myself into the quiet window bench of our family home and imagine fantastical scenarios on the other side of the glass. With winter blanketing my current views in drifts of snow, I was inspired to imagine bright and cheery scenes outside my windows again, like I did as a girl. And just like that – Windows With A View was born!

This collection is available on February 10th, 2024.

There are seven products in this collection – five die sets, a clear stamp set and a background stencil. Building upon the classic paned window in the Vista View set, each set is designed to be interchangeable and versatile so you can build the view of your dreams – no matter what it may be! My hope is that this set will inspire you to create all year long, and maybe even seek out some new horizons to gaze out at.

As the base for this collection, the Vista View Die Set is the perfect frame for whatever scene you can imagine. This nine-paneled window in a classic fixed arch style also includes window boxes to fill with flowers or other accents. By mixing and matching the bases, you’ll be able to make a variety of different windows for all occasions. This set is an instant classic – you’ll find tons of ways to use this versatile die.

The real magic happens when you combine the window with the other dies in this collection! With the Up In the Air View die set, you’ll have all the elements to craft a rainy day to peer at from a cozy chair in front of a fireplace, or opt for the Botanical Solarium to create the garden of your dreams. You can even use the elements in the other sets to create stars or flowers for a cute shaker card.

Sometimes the best view is out at your own backyard! The Backyard Haven set is perfect for capturing your own slice of heaven – a large tree, a classic birdbath, fence posts and even a few furry and feathered friends.

Not only can you fill your backyard with shrubbery and flowers, you can also nest an owl in the tree and hang a welcoming swing from it’s branches. The fence posts, tree trunk and swing seat also feature embossed texture for extra realism… and a little bit of fun! This set also makes perfect backgrounds to decorate with the weather and sky elements from the Up In The Air View Set.

The Background Scapes stencil is designed to maximize the amount of landscapes you can create with a single stencil. Use it to create the bright lights of a big city, the endless grass of a meadow, majestic mountains against a sunset sky, or soft billows of clouds.

With the masks included, the stencil becomes even more versatile. This stencil provides an easy way to amp up the visual interest and depth of your window cards.

The Up In The Air Die Set includes tons of different sky themed elements that can be used to create a many-layered vista perfect for all kinds of occasions. Celebrate great news with a cheerful balloon bouquet, offer sympathy with a stormy scene, or fill a lovely sky with clouds and sunshine for every day. I’ve always loved the skies at night, so there’s also a moon and stars.

Take yourself on a tropical getaway with the Coastal Escape set. This set includes everything you need to create a fun underwater scene, including a porthole window! Go on an underwater adventure with the fish, shells, coral and anchor in the set, or dream of a Hawaiian vacation with palm trees and hibiscus flowers.

This set even includes some swirling pieces that are perfect for making waves or sandy shores. Use these elements with the Vista View set to create a window for gazing out of a beachy cottage, or alone for nautical cards perfect for summer.

I love a clever or punny sentiment, and this stamp set is packed full of cute messages to complete your cards. With a variety of fonts, there are stamps for every occasion – including sympathy, encouragement and well wishes. Of course, there are several window themed phrases, too!

I personally keep reaching for “Adventure is Just Outside Your Window”, but I’d love to know what your favorite is! Last but not least, there are also four adorable icons of a flower, bee, ladybug and dragonfly to finish out the set, because no flower boxes are complete without a critter or two to pollinate them.

As far as I’m concerned, no view is perfect unless it’s got plenty of plants! The Botanical Solarium die set makes sure that all your windows are filled with bright and cheery blooms or lush leafy greens. The set includes five unique flower stems and the buds to accompany them, as well as four different types of leaves. With a pot, watering can, gardening tools and plant stake, you can make sure your plants look well-tended and loved. These dies are ideal for filling the window boxes in the Vista View set.
