Add Sparkling Details to Your Projects with Art Glitter
Hello, Spellbinders’ friends Angela Tombari here from I Need Confetti blog. I had the chance to play with Art Glitter and it’s great sparkling fun! I love to use them in many ways and on different kinds of surfaces but today I’ll stay stuck to Art Glitter in paper craft. Keep reading for some examples.
Add Art Glitter to Wax Seals
It is sufficient to add a pinch of art glitter to make the wax seal shine like a star!
There’s a good range of Art Glitter colors with different shining effects and huge shades of wax so it’s great to experiment with different color combinations.
From classy to more eclectic contrasting colors, Art Glitter added to the wax seal is guaranteed fun!
You can also create your own wax glitter drops to embellish!
Add Art Glitter to Die Cuts
With a few drops of liquid glue, it is possible to add glitter to our die cuts to emphasize the details like I did here on the leaves of my bouquet.
Another example is on the inside border of a shaker card.
I applied the glitter on the inside edge of the die cut and then, I assembled the shaker to add more shining interest.
Add Art Glitter to the Edges
I have two examples of Art Glitter used on edges. The first and most obvious is on a card’s edges.
Always using liquid glue, I added glitters all around the borders using warm white glitter on the gold card and Baby Baubs glitters on the white tag for a tone-on-tone effect.
Can you see the glitters also around the tag hole? I think these are tiny details that make a difference to the final project.
It’s a really easy to add Art Glitter. My method is to apply the glue first, pour generously the glitters on the glue then, put the card or die cut between two sheets of paper and press firmly to fix the glitters onto the glue. Last, allow to dry for the time requested by the glue used.
Add Art Glitter to Envelops
What if we customize our envelopes?
Like wax, there are so many colors of envelopes or papers if you make envelopes yourself, and the color combinations are endless. Personally, I went for black to make the glitter pop even more and I love the result.
Here, to have bold straight edges, I used 0.25-inch tape instead of liquid glue. Look how beautiful is the black envelope profiled with Valentine color Art Glitter.
Thanks so much for stopping by on Spellbinders blog. These are just a few ideas on how to use Art Glitter. I hope you like them and hopefully, you will give them a try.
Love, NG
