Non-Traditional Holiday Cards with the Stitched Bright Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here sharing some fun holiday cards made with the Stitched Bright collection. It’s a fun collection of dies – Stitched Holiday Tree, Stitched String Lights, and Stitched Starfilled Background. I didn’t embroider with these dies, but that’s the beauty of stitching dies – you can use them with or without embroidery thread. These cards are boldly non-traditional, both in style and color. That works for me, but if you want to tone them down, substitute softer colors. Scalloped Tree First up is the Stitched Tree set of dies, with the fun scallop border. Die cut just the backer dies for the tree in all 3 sizes…

Incorporating Patterned Paper Into The Fair Winds Collection With Emily Leiphart
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the Fair Winds Collection by Dawn Woleslagle. This is such a fun coastal and nautical collection, perfect for summertime cards of all occasions. I wanted to create my cards with a non-traditional color palette and I was inspired by the colors from the Simple Stories Just Beachy 6×8” Paper Pad. Each card features the patterned paper in a different way — the border, a small selection of die cuts, and a centerpiece background. This first card features the Uncharted Waters Stencil, Guiding Light Dies, Set Sail Dies, and the Fair Winds Sentiments.…

Moving into Summer with House Mouse Fun
Hi crafters, Dina Kowal here! The House Mouse gang is back with some hot weather antics in the Summer Fun collection… I’m not even sure how it’s already time for summer cards, but here we are! There are 4 new sets in this House Mouse release, each with a card-sized image and several coordinating sentiments. I love the movement that is drawn into each of these images, so I used different methods and mediums to highlight those details. You know I love to watercolor, so on all these cards I used my favorite paints to begin my coloring. I let the paint dry between layers and kept building up intensity,…

Each of the products in the All the Sentiments release is interactive, with multi-step greetings, a gift card holder, and an innovative envelope die set that can even be used to make a cute gift box! I started off with a birthday card and a matching envelope. I really wanted to highlight the A2 Gift Card Holder and Envelope Dies here because I think this set is so clever! Fall Birthday Cards with The Birds & Bees Garden Collection
Hey dear friends! It’s Angela Tombari here! I have a set of birthday cards to share with you today. I made them using the beautiful The Birds & Bees Garden collection. Spellbinders releases always gorgeous collections but, maybe because of the type of flowers, maybe because it’s fall-themed, I particularly enjoyed The Birds & Bees Garden one. The first card I would like to show you is created with the negative piece of Pom Pom Dahlia and Ladybugs die. This die set is supposed to create 3D Dahlia flowers and cut several nested flowers. I used the biggest metal die, which contains 8 flowers and I cut it twice on…
