Holiday Decor Inspired Cards
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Timeless Trees Collection by Simon Hurley. This collection includes two 3D embossing folders and five die sets for creating wonderful holiday and winter scene cards. The idea for these cards was inspired by different holiday decor styles. The first card has a rustic feel, the second is more modern and the third is definitely traditional. Inspiration can be found everywhere! Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Gently run a gray ink pad over panel. Die cut the pieces from Mantle Village and Mantle Decorations Etched Dies out of various colors…

Adding Texture to Scrapbook Layouts Using the Woodland Tales Collection
Hello crafty friends! Suzanna Lee here today to share with you a couple of Fall (or Autumn) layouts that I created with the Woodland Tales! This seasonal collection is available in the Spellbinders shop. While you’re adding that to your cart, be sure to grab some metal dies and Press Plates that accompany the collection, there are so many to choose from! Making Extras with the Beads of Friendship Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Beads of Friendship Collection. This collection has tiny press plate or stamped letters to create lots of friendship bracelets to use with or without the die-cut hands. There are also die-cut shapes and bracelets. For these cards I created multiples of everything except the hands and stamped sentiments and letters. I have a lot leftover that I can pull out for future use with other components of this collection or I could even pair them up with the new Shine Bright Collection. I began by impressing the Bestie Alphabet Beads Press Plate and Die Set letters in a rainbow…

Non-Traditional Holiday Cards with the Stitched Bright Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here sharing some fun holiday cards made with the Stitched Bright collection. It’s a fun collection of dies – Stitched Holiday Tree, Stitched String Lights, and Stitched Starfilled Background. I didn’t embroider with these dies, but that’s the beauty of stitching dies – you can use them with or without embroidery thread. These cards are boldly non-traditional, both in style and color. That works for me, but if you want to tone them down, substitute softer colors. Scalloped Tree First up is the Stitched Tree set of dies, with the fun scallop border. Die cut just the backer dies for the tree in all 3 sizes…

Incorporating Patterned Paper Into The Fair Winds Collection With Emily Leiphart

This is such a fun coastal and nautical collection, perfect for summertime cards of all occasions. I wanted to create my cards with a non-traditional color palette and I was inspired by the colors from the Simple Stories Just Beachy 6×8” Paper Pad. Each card features the patterned paper in a different way — the border, a small selection of die cuts, and a centerpiece background. This first card features the Uncharted Waters Stencil, Guiding Light Dies, Set Sail Dies, and the Fair Winds Sentiments.…

Moving into Summer with House Mouse Fun
Hi crafters, Dina Kowal here! The House Mouse gang is back with some hot weather antics in the Summer Fun collection… I’m not even sure how it’s already time for summer cards, but here we are! There are 4 new sets in this House Mouse release, each with a card-sized image and several coordinating sentiments. I love the movement that is drawn into each of these images, so I used different methods and mediums to highlight those details. You know I love to watercolor, so on all these cards I used my favorite paints to begin my coloring. I let the paint dry between layers and kept building up intensity,…
