Hi there, crafty friends! It’s Leica writing on the Spellbinders Blog. Today, I want to share with you three cards I made using the new Carissa Wiley – It’s My Party collection. I absolutely adore this collection because I’m always in need of birthday cards to send to my family and friends. For my first card, I created a shaker card using the Giant Party Balloon. I used Pastel Pink Hot Foil on Pink Sand Color Essentials Cardstock to hot foil the balloon. I loved playing with different ways to use this fun new shape in my cardmaking and was inspired to create a couple of pretty cards in three different styles. Rustic Greeting Card For my first project, I created an A2-sized card featuring items from the Rustic Garden, Garden Builder, and Seasonal Décor Etched Die Sets. For both my large wagon wheel and barrel, I die-cut my lighter pieces from some Portobello Cardstock and lightly blended them with Gathered Twigs and Ground Espresso Distress Inks to add some shading.
