Adding Dimension to Cards with the Photosynthesis Collection with Joan Bardee
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and Iโm delighted to share 3 cards chock full of color and dimension using the beautiful Photosynthesis Collection by Simon Hurley. If you love floral cards, you will love this collection. And adding dimension to these cards literally takes them to the next level! Rather than detail all the steps I took for each of these cards, Iโm sharing several tips for adding dimension to cards. Sending Hugs This colorful bouquet of flowers uses Ceramic Vases, Floral Stems, and Must Have Sentiments, all part of the Photosynthesis Collection. I added dimension and heft to this card in 4 ways: Stacked die cuts โ adhering multiple…

Direct-to-Paper Backgrounds & Glimmer Cardfront Sentiments by Joan Bardee
Hello crafters! Iโm Joan Bardee and I hope you are ready for some fun! Today Iโm sharing some easy and colorful cards using the unique Glimmer Cardfront Sentiments collection. Bottom line โ this collection, which has 6 separate glimmer plates, each with a large sentiment in a fun font โ packs a big punch. The collection also includes a stencil and die that creates a beautiful floral. I paired 3 of these sentiments with a background made with the โdirect-to-paperโ technique. In this technique, you hold the ink pad in your hand and apply it directly to the paper. I decided on somewhat abstract versions of circles, stripes, and plaid.…

Metamorphosis: Rainbow Colored Fun
Hello and welcome! Iโm Joan Bardee and today Iโm featuring 3 cards using the gorgeous Metamorphosis Collection designed by Simon Hurley. (How does Simon create so many amazing products, videos, and samples??) This collection consists of 4 sets of dies: In Bloom, Stained Glass Window, Everyday Sentiments, and Brilliant Butterflies. I was particularly smitten with the arch shape in Stained Glass Window and the collection put me in the mood for rainbow colors, so get ready for rainbows. The Stained Glass Window base die is perfect to make an arched-shaped card, so I did. Die cut a fantasy rainbow-colored bouquet (with gold accents) using the In Bloom dies. Love how…

Color with Cardstock – Anemone Blooms Cardmaking Ideas with Joan Bardee
I am delighted to share 3 ways (plus 2 bonus cards) to use the Anemone Blooms Collection, designed by the amazing Yana Smakula. Is it intimidating to use Yanaโs products on a Spellbinders blog post? You bet it is, but here it goes anyway! I love big bold anything, so these flowers stole my heart. I wasnโt familiar with anemones and a quick online search revealed that they come in a huge variety of colors. So, use whatever colors you love; for me โ pink is my first love. Hot Foiled Anemone Blooms If you are looking for maximum impact with minimal effort, just hot foil the Anemone Glimmer Blooms…

Inspired by the Sentiments in the Showered with Love Collection by Joan Bardee
Hello and welcome! Iโm Joan Bardee and if you want to see what else Iโm up to, you can find me on Instagram as Dear Paperlicious. Today Iโm featuring 3 fun and colorful cards using products in the Showered with Love Collection designed by the super-talented Vicky Papaioannou. The design of each card was inspired by the sentiments in the Iโve Got You Covered Clear Stamp and Die set, which is part of this collection. The collection is full of clever open and closed umbrellas, weather symbols, flowers, a duck, etc. โ all evoking spring. I took my cue from that season and used softer sherbet colors for each of…
