Winter Wonderland With Jennifer Rustioni
Hello everyone! This is Jennifer Rustioni from @armieritagli! I’m so happy to be here as a guest on the Spellbinders Blog! Today I share with you the cards I realized featuring the new beautiful Winter Wonderland Stamp Set designed by Simon Hurley! It’s very hot days here in Italy and I’ve been having fun refreshing my mind by creating the first Christmas cards of the year!
HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
For my first project, I chose to realize an illustrated card using one of the beautiful houses of the set. I stamped the house on watercolor paper with the Distress Oxide Pumice Stone, to have a definite but delicate effect. I drew the mountains and then colored the background in shades of grey-blue using the Arteza Gouache. After that, I realized the trees near the house.
I colored the house using gouache as well and then added some details and depth using colored pencils. I realized the snowflakes and the snow on the trees with a white acrylic marker. At last, I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of my card.
If you prefer, you can stamp the house separately, die-cut it with the coordinating dies, and then add it to the card later. This way you will be more relaxed and free in making the background of the card.
SEASON’S GREETINGS
The second project I created is a very easy-to-do CAS card. I trimmed a piece of the Spellbinders Barely Peach Color Essentials Cardstock to have a delicate base of my card. I chose some trees from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set by Simon Hurley and stamped them with black ink.
After that, I gold heat embossed the main sentiment “season’s greetings” and then stamped the secondary sentiment with black ink. I added two golden highlights using the Spellbinders Gold Smooth Discs Color Essentials Sequins. At last, I matted my card with the Spellbinders Portobello Color Essentials Cardstock. This is a very easy card, but I love the result!

Really beautiful cards. It must have taken you some time to colour the cabin scene. It’s like a little work of art ❤️
