Stampendous Hugs Collection – Sweet Animal Cards with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Stampendous Hugs Collection from Spellbinders. The adorable huggable critters, fun accessories, and sweet sentiments in this collection inspired me to create three simple and cute cards for a variety of occasions. Beary Special Slimline Card With so many cute characters to choose from in this collection, it was hard to pick what to work with first…but those little bears from the Stampendous Bear Hugs Die Set just stole my heart! Layered Stencils 3 Ways with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. Today, I made 3 cards using the Layered Stencils collection. I have been loving stencils for adding color, and this collection is stunning. Each of the sets comes with 4 layering stencils, as well as a solid sentiment mask. There are also coordinating dies that will die cut the large sentiment; some even have coordinating dies for a few of the florals. I made all three of my cards in the same way. First, I started out by stenciling the sentiment. I masked off the motifs around it to work on the…

Layered Stenciled Cards with a Folk Art Flair with Joan Bardee
Welcome! Joan Bardee here sharing cards made with the fun new Spellbinders Layered Stencils Collection. There are 4 sets in the collection: Hello, For You, Thank You, and Make a Wish. Each set comes with layering stencils and a mask for the sentiment. There are coordinating dies. These stencils do most of the design work for you – the sentiment knows where to go, and the floral designs form a beautiful bouquet around 3 of the sentiments. Change colors and you will get a totally different look. And, as you’ll see, there is room for even more creativity. For these cards, I was inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch designs – a…

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of Spring paper flower card ideas using the new Painter’s Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The gorgeous floral designs in the collection reminiscent of the works of Impressionist painters inspired me to create three bright springtime cards for different occasions. Pansy Thank You Card I love the unique colorings of pansies and thought they would be a fun design to try it out first. Here I chose three different purple varieties of pansies to emulate for this pretty square thank you card. Die cut Susan’s Garden Specialty Cardstock using the…

Butterfly Kisses: 3 Ways – Complicated to Simple by Joan Bardee
Hello and welcome! I’m Joan Bardee and today I’m featuring 3 cards using the Butterfly Kisses stamp and die set designed by the amazing Simon Hurley. I’ve got something for everyone here; the first card has lots of layers and colors; the second repeats 2 images; and the third is clean and simple. Used a lot of purple on these cards, which is a color that I rarely use – but butterflies just seem to work with it! Floral Frame Card Used Yana Smakula’s “perfect cardmaking formula” to design this card. This was a stretch for me as I usually make much simpler cards. Yana’s formula is to place a…
