Play Your Cards Right!
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Jack of All Trades collection by Jaycee Gaspar. This is such a fun collection based on playing cards and can be used in lots of different ways! Jack of All Trades collection by Jaycee Gaspar is available on January 10th 2025. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT My first card uses the stunning Kaleidoscope Noble Suits Etched Dies. Each of the suits (heart, spade, diamond & club) all have three dies that you can layer up one on top of another to create a kaleidoscope look. I have used them that way for my card,…

Simple Holiday Cards – Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today! I have three cards to share that I created with the Oh Joyful Card Making Kit! I love all the elements in the kit…from cute, whimsical components to elegant florals, there’s something for everyone! My first card combines cardstock, patterned paper, die-cut shapes, chipboard stickers, clear stickers and a couple of gems… I trimmed the blue pattern paper and matted it with Poppy cardstock. It was adhered to the plaid pattern paper, which was trimmed slightly and adhered to an A2 panel of Waterfall cardstock. The clear, gold-foiled snowflake…

Elegant Christmas Cards using the Season of Wonder Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Stampendous Season of Wonder Collection. This beautiful collection includes two die sets and two stamp sets. This is the perfect opportunity to create a shaped card and make an elegant wreath card. I enjoy creating ink-blended backgrounds but if I’m creating one or two why not create a few extras for other card ideas. I made two Halloween card backgrounds at the same time as these three backgrounds using some of the same inks. Ink blend a piece of white cardstock with light and dark teal colors then splatter with similar metallic ink and white acrylic paint. Set aside…

Holiday Tags with Lisa Horton Essential Holiday Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three tags featuring the Lisa Horton Essential Holiday Collection. What an amazing collection where you can create many different tags for all of your holiday gifts. My color palette was simple but I love gray, red and white together for holiday tags. While I had my BetterPress System out, I created backgrounds in several colors that I may want to use at some point in the future. Always nice to have extras ready to go. Press the Holiday Background Panels Press Plates using Thunder BetterPress Ink on Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel. You can fit two plates per A2 panel. Cut out with…

Crafty Lessons Learned with the Happy Hour Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here. The fantastic Happy Hour Collection consists of 2 cocktail glasses and other unique items to use with or without the glasses. It’s clever and my favorite of everything Spellbinders has released so far this year. Today I’m sharing a brayered background, an explosion of color blocking, and a cheeky Halloween card. None of these contain new ideas, but I learned a few things along the way that I will share with you. I hope you enjoy the cards as much as I enjoyed making them. CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL WITH A BRAYERED BACKGROUND A holiday card with a martini glass and a brayered background are both out…

Seasonal Faux Stitched Cards with Nichol’s Needlework Collection
Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from whostolemyglitter.com. I’m excited to be sharing three cards featuring Nichol’s Needlework Collection from Nichol Spohr. This collection includes dies to make cards throughout the year. You could even use them without the needlework dies. Though I didn’t do it, I would recommend stamping the sentiment before die-cutting. It will produce more solid lines.i put tiny pieces of foam tape behind the gold screw fitting. You could adhere everything flat instead to avoid this. Die cut the pieces from the Gathering Stitches Etched Dies, Needleworker Tool Kit Etched Dies and Faux Embroidered Stockings Etched Dies from a variety of cardstock colors. You will also need to…

Mini-album With Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story Collection + Spellbinders Dies
Hello crafty friends! My name is Allison Davis and I am a scrapbooker and sketch artist for my family’s scrapbook store located in Springfield, MO, and also the sketch artist for Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. I am absolutely thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today sharing a mini-album I created using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story collection along with some Spellbinders cutting dies. One of the things I have always loved and appreciated about Simple Stories collections is the amount of cut-apart papers they include. That was what inspired the design of this album. I used a mix of cut-apart pieces, tags, pockets, and…

Snow Garden Inspiration
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from My PaperCut Creations! I’m thrilled to be guest posting on the Spellbinders blog again today! I’m sharing three cards using the Snow Garden Collection designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn!! I’m always a fan of Susan’s collections and this one is no exception! SEASON’S GREETINGS For my first card, I foiled the Winter Bought Hot Foil Plate onto smooth white cardstock with opaque black foil, then colored it with Copic markers. The panel was die-cut with the second largest die in the A2 Matting Basics A Die Set and adhered to a panel of red cardstock that was cut using the largest die in the…

House-Mouse Christmas Card Ideas to Try!
Hey there, friends! It’s Leica, and I’m excited to share three lovely Christmas cards with you, all featuring stamp sets from the adorable House-Mouse collection. This collection is just beautiful, and I’ve created coordinating cards using the same colors. I’m even thinking of giving this card set as a gift to a friend! For my first card, I stamped the Mistletoe Kiss Cling Rubber Stamp Set on a white cardstock panel and colored it with Copic markers. I used Crimson cardstock to make a border around the image and for the sentiment, which I heat embossed in white. To add a sweet touch, I included a bow in gold cardstock…
