Layered Die Cut House Card Tutorial | Easy Everyday City Card Idea
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial with you using the Everyday City Holiday Collection by Yana Smakula. This collection coordinates with the City Holiday Etched Dies, but now we can decorate the house/apartment building for all seasons, not just the holidays! My focus for the card is on the new Everyday Windows, Curtains and Flower Boxes Etched Dies, but I do sneak in an awning from the Everyday Awnings Etched Dies because they are too fun not to use! I love that all the sets can be mixed and matched with each other! DIE-CUTTING THE ELEMENTS Please note: The dies are shown in the photo facing…

How To Create A Guitar Shaped Card
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial using the Majestic Guitar Etched Dies from Bibi’s Musical Notes Collection. This set creates a 7-inch-tall guitar that fits perfectly on an A7 card base. There is also an add-on die set for side panels, so that you can create a 3D guitar too, but for today, I thought it would be fun to create a guitar-shaped card! You can use any colour combination here, but purples are my favourite, so that’s what I went with! STEP 1 – DIE CUTTING THE GUITAR Die cut dies from Majestic Guitar: Cut pieces of cardstock slightly larger than the size of the…

Let the Games Begin!
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Wild Joker Etched Dies from the Jack of All Trades collection by Jaycee Gasper. This is such a fun addition to the collection! You can see the other cards I made with this collection here. The joker can be assembled in a few different ways. On some of the parts (torso and legs) there are indentation lines, so that it’s easy to line them up. I decided to have the joker throwing the cards up in the air, so I covered up some of those lines (where the arms would be if…

Beautiful Butterfly Layout For this layout, I added dimension with chipboard and foam stickers, but also by fussy cutting out part of…

Adding Quick Color to Beveled Sentiments A2 Card Fronts
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Beveled Sentiments A2 Card Fronts 3D Embossing Folders. These sentiments fill almost the entire card panel and there are so many amazing techniques you can use. I helped my card along by starting with light-colored cardstock and layering up two different ink colors to make these sentiments stand out. I only had blending brushes to use on these cards. I bet they’ll look beautiful blended with foam as well. Emboss a light color of cardstock using the Beveled Hello A2 Cardfront, Beveled Thanks A2 Cardfront and Beveled Happy Birthday A2 Cardfront. I used light blue, light purple and light pink…
