Texture Backgrounds and Spanish Sentiments
Hello Friends! It’s Raquel here again. Today I’m excited to share some easy to make cards with lots of texture. I’ve also used the new Spanish sentiments Betterpress Plate & die set and the Spanish everyday sentiments etched dies, both of them from the International Sentiment collection. I was born in Spain so and I have to admit I was so happy when I knew these sentiments were released. I adore the font of both the Betterpress sentiments and the dies that come with a shadow die. For my first project I used the Fresh Picked Buttercups. I wanted to create a simple yet eye-catching design where the flowers and…

Three Adorable Farm Animal Cards
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Justine’s Farm Collection by Justine Dvorak. This is a sweet collection of five press plate sets, four featuring adorable farm animals. One of the best things about BetterPress plates is that they can be used with the BetterPress System and the Glimmer Hot Foil System! When I’m already using either system, I like to make up extras, even if I don’t plan to use them yet. This is especially true for any sentiments. Impress the Daisy Press Plate and Die Set using Black BetterPress Ink on a Porcelain A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel. Create sentiments on a separate panel and…

Making Extras with the Beads of Friendship Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Beads of Friendship Collection. This collection has tiny press plate or stamped letters to create lots of friendship bracelets to use with or without the die-cut hands. There are also die-cut shapes and bracelets. For these cards I created multiples of everything except the hands and stamped sentiments and letters. I have a lot leftover that I can pull out for future use with other components of this collection or I could even pair them up with the new Shine Bright Collection. I began by impressing the Bestie Alphabet Beads Press Plate and Die Set letters in a rainbow…

As Timeless as Black and White!
Hi friends! Emily Midgett here with you today on the Spellbinders blog, and I’m thrilled to have been asked to play with the new Timeless Collection. These dies are spectacular in their incredible detail and delicate lines, making them great to have as a focal point or as a lacy accent to a floral focal point, as I’ve done here! I thought that the best way to showcase the marvelous details of this set of coordinating dies and BetterPress plates from the Timeless Collection was to use a stark black and white color palette, softened with peach and coral floral bouquets. The dies in the Timeless collection remind me so…

Fun Ideas for Die Cutting With Patterned Paper Featuring Doodlebug
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring Doodlebug’s Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints 12×12” Cardstock Paper. Spellbinders is now carrying the entire line of Doodlebug’s Rainbow Petite Prints and it was such a difficult choice because I love them all. Linen is always a must-have for me because it’s so subtle and I love that I can easily stamp on it. Gingham is another fun and versatile choice. After choosing the color palette for my cards and making sure that I had both the Doodlebug prints and coordinating solid cardstock, I went to work on my designs. Spellbinders has so…

Beat the Winter Blues with Flowers From the Garden
Hi friends! Emily Midgett here on the Spellbinders Blog today, and I’m super excited to be sharing some soft and elegant inspiration using the stunning new From the Garden collection by Wendy Vecchi. I am a sucker for anything floral, and these beautiful floral images from this collection have stolen my heart! Let’s get started with the details. Whenever I am working with a group of coordinating products, I find it such fun to create a coordinating card set using similar colors but tweaking the layout and products used. Keeping the color scheme the same throughout the set helps keep everything cohesive! Blue is one of my favorite colors, in…
