Wings of Love Inspiration | Thank You Card with Joni
Hello everyone, this is Joni Andaya from Papell With Love and thank you for joining me today. This post is highlighting products from On the Wings of Love Collection by Joanne Fink, which I did a Thank you card mixing different colored cardstock and using Copic Marker as my color medium. To begin, I first cut my yellow card panel. Then, die-cut the frame from Swirl Frame die set on a lilac cardstock and 2 on white and the “thanks” from Words die set. For my yellow card panel, I distressed the bottom using Distressed Ink in Mustard Yellow to give more intensity on the color. I also splattered yellow…

Classics March Inspiration | For You Card with Kaja
Hi there, it’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am back at Spellbinders blog with my last post as a guest designer for this week. As already said in my previous posts (catch them here and here), I used dies from a brand new Classics March release for all of the cards I shared with you here. I decided to make my last project quite simple, but yet elegant at the same time. First, I used Fancy Edged Squares and die cut 3 scalloped squares from kraft card stock. I felt like having the same color shapes nested together will look good, but I added some…

Classics March Collection Inspiration | More Simple Card Ideas with Marge
Hello, there! It’s Marge here with you today again. Have you enjoyed my previous posts for Spellbinders New Classics March Collection? As the third theme for this week, I’m going to share how to use die cut layering to create dimensions on your card. Here are the examples that I made geometric blossoms using various nested circle-shaped dies. By doing this, you can also build up your favorite color palette on the card. To begin the first card, I made various sizes of die cuts out of several colors of papers using Fancy Scallop Edge Circles Dies. I gave them color gradation from yellow to orange and brown by selecting…

Video Friday | Watercolor Lighthouse with Kelly
Hello Crafters! It’s Kelly Latevola here and I’m excited to bring you something a little different today. As a colorist I frequently hear my subscribers say that they have a hard time knowing where exactly to add shading to their images. Did you know Spellbinders has these stamps that come with the shading already added? They have a whole line of 3D Shading Stamps. I thought this Light House stamp would be perfect to incorporate a little watercoloring. I stamped in an extremely light dye ink so that I could maintain my lines as I painted. I started by painting the ares not shaded by the stamp. I used Daniel…

Classics March Inspiration | Colorful Floral Card with Kaja
Hi there, it’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am back at Spellbinders blog as a guest designer for this week. As I’ve already mentioned in the first project I shared this week, I am using dies from a brand new Classics March release on all of the cards I share with you here. When I saw the Fancy Edged Circles I immediately thought that the smallest die reminders me of a flower, so I went with it and made a card filled with flowers. I started by die cutting the smallest scalloped circle from 5 different colors of card stock and I made 4 flowers…

Classics March Collection Inspiration | Dry Embossed Cards with Marge
Hello, there! It’s Marge here again with gorgeous New Classics March Collection. Today I’m going to share how to make patterned backgrounds using dry embossing technique. Since all the dies in Classics March Collection are nested dies, with different patterns on frames one by one in a set, they are just perfect for making interesting patterns all together. So here are my cards for today. To begin, I cut a white card stock using the largest frame die in the Fancy Edged Rectangles Dies set, then I placed all other smaller dies on it one by one, put a piece of masking tape on them to keep them from moving…

Classics March Inspiration | Ink Blended Circles Card with Kaja
Hi there, It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today and I am super honored to be guest designing for Spellbinders this week. For my cards, I will be using dies from a brand new Classics March release. Take a look at my first project: I started by ink blending the whole panel of my watercolor paper. I decided to use Distress oxides since they blend really easily, and the results are awesome even without a lot of effort. I used four colors: Pine Needles, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Faded Jeans. Next, I sprinkled some water directly on the panel and then wipe it away with tissue. This gives…

Elegant 3D Vignettes Inspiration | Birthday Card with Melissa
Hello! Melissa Phillips here and I’m so happy to join you again using more of the beautiful 3D Vignettes Dies from Becca Feeken. I had a lot of fun creating this birthday card using these fabulous, layered dies. Birthday cards are among my most favorite cards to create, and I just knew the tiny balloons in the Layered Happy Birthday Etched 3D Vignettes Dies would create something special. I die cut my balloons and layered circle from watercolor cardstock. I blended ink using a foam applicator over each balloon in pastel colors. I then added a bit of water to create a soft, ethereal look. Once the balloons were dry,…
