If you love all things vintage, found items, and things from times gone by, this new collection from Cathe Holden will win your heart. Let’s get started on my projects. My first card uses a darling flower basket, shabby green shutters, a strawberry label, and another miscellany from the Happy Thought Miscellany Printed Die Cuts Collection. Flea Market Finds Collection by Cathe Holden – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Flea Market Finds Collection by Cathe Holden. The beautiful florals and bright vintage designs in this collection inspired me to create three pretty cards perfect for staying in touch with loved ones. Bright & Feminine I loved the vintage floral components in this collection because, unlike the many other vintage designs I’m used to seeing, these are bright and feminine. For these watercolor techniques I have used Art Essentials palettes by Jane Davenport to get this bright happy look. For the first card I painted rainbow stripes with bright watercolor shades and a 14-size flat watercolor brush, then I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. Tryday Friday: How to Use a Brayer to Make Painted Clouds
Hey crafty friends! Have you been loving the Easy Breezy Spring collection from Fun Stampers Journey? Today let’s look at an absolutely darling card featuring the Loads of Love stamp set. Along the way, we’ll teach you a simple mixed media technique for adding puffy painted clouds to the background of your cards. To begin the background, add Beach Ball and Cool Pool acrylic paint onto a non-porous surface – like an acrylic sheet or a large clear block. (We used more Beach Ball and just a little Cool Pool.) Use a brayer to blend and spread the paint across the clear block. Then roll the brayer over a card-size…
