Video Friday | Watercoloured Die Cut Wreath with Debby
Hello, and thank you for joining me. My name is Debby Hughes, and you can find me blogging at Lime Doodle Design. I have been paper crafting for a while now, since 2006. Spellbinders dies were some of the first I bought, and so I’m delighted to be sharing this video tutorial with you today. My project concentrates on creating a classic wreath with lots of layers and dimension. I love to watercolour, and so I painted panels of watercolour to use with my die cuts. However, this wreath would look lovely cut from patterned paper or cardstock too. In the video, I show a quick unboxing of the Platinum…

Video Friday | Stenciled Scene Shaker Backgrounds
Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and thank you for joining me! Today Iβm sharing how to layer stencils to create a seasonal background scene for a die cut image. Iβm layering inking and stenciling with embossing paste and stencils and finishing it all with an interactive shaker element! Creating a scene card is one of my very favorite styles of card to create. The Deer dies are the perfect focal point of these love-themed shaker cards. The grass die from the Picket Fence set gives the deer something to stand in and the Pierced Rectangles make a great frame and shaker background. For the background of both cards, I…

Video Friday | How to Make Paper Chest of Drawers / Flower Stand with Olga
Hi paper crafters, this is Olga Direktorenko and today I will be using Spellbinders dies to create something different from a card. The first time I saw the Baby Step Block Card die set it was not the building blocks that I thought of – it reminded me of a Japanese style chest of drawers and I got so excited to make my own one out of paper! This die is meant to create a 3D card base that can be folded and mailed in an envelope, but for this project I have combined the 2 bases to make one 3D piece – watch the video below to see how…

Video Friday | Dimensional Valentine with Kelly
It’s Kelly Latevola here and I’m so excited to be sharing a fun dimensional valentine with you today.Β Valentine’s have been on the forefront of my mind lately.Β Once I saw this set, with that font, I was sold! I started by laying down a super light blend of Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. I flicked on a bit of clean water and perfect pearls to add some interest to the background. I stamped the Bee Any Sweeter Stamp three times. Once on white, once on my background, and again on the background after I adhered the heart. This makes sure all the lines for the sentiment are flush. I did a…

Video Friday | Elephantastic Embellishing with Nichol
Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and thank you for joining me! One of my favorite techniques when creating cards made entirely of die cuts, is to embellish and add detail with pens, inks, paints, etc. to dress up images for maximum impact. I love mixing and matching multiple dies to create one-of-a-kind scenes for my cards. The Ella-fant Etched dies made an adorable up in the clouds scene when paired with the Sun and Clouds Dies, Simply Said Phrase Set 2 sentiments, and Pierced Rectangles and Circles. For the background of both cards, I used the Pierced Rectangles and Circles dies to die cut smooth white cardstock to create…
