Spring Plushies
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Spring Felt Stitch & Create collection by Nichol Spohr. There is a bunny (and carrot) in this collection, as well as a hen, and if you love sewing and stitching, these are really fun to create! For these plushies, I like to stitch with 3 strands of floss. However, you can definitely just use two if you like. Whether you choose to coordinate floss and felt colors, or add a contrast, will affect the finished look. I usually use coordinating colors, but contrast is fun too! COZY CLUCK My first plushie uses…

Black & White Plus One Color with Woodland Wildlife
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and I’m excited to share with you the fantastic Ranger Woodland Wildlife set of stamps and coordinating dies by Simon Hurley. Spellbinders released this gorgeous set with two other fun stamp and die pairings – Inspired and Everyday Wreaths. I chose to focus on Woodland Wildlife, but the color palette I’m using would work well with the other sets as well. Today’s color palette is a striking black and white plus one other color. Since Woodland Wildlife is packed with line art drawings (as opposed to solid stamps) this color formula is great if you don’t want to color in the images or just want…

Friendship Bracelet Nostalgia Featuring the Beads of Friendship Collection
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the super fun Beads of Friendship Collection inspired by Taylor Swift. I’m old enough that I remember making all kinds of jewelry to adorn my ears, wrists, and sneakers. I loved making bracelets and earrings for myself and all my friends. The embroidery floss bracelets obviously took a lot of time but were so worth it and I still have some of my bracelets from the late 80s and early 90s! I also go crazy for hand dies so when I saw this collection, I knew I had to have it. I…

Retro Dance Party – Inspired Cards Featuring Shine Bright Collection by Carissa Wiley
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the disco-themed Shine Bright Collection by Carissa Wiley. In my youth, I spent a fair share of my time dancing in nightclubs and going to karaoke bars with friends. It was great exercise and a lot of fun! Carissa’s new collection makes me want to get back on the dance floor, even if that’s just in my house and I’m alone. LOL When I first saw these products, I immediately thought “SPARKLE”! I’m definitely going to use lots of sparkle on these cards. How could I not? The disco balls inspired a…
