Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some projects with you using the new Stitched for Christmas Collection. This beautiful collection features lots of stitching dies to create beautiful handmade stitched projects. Not into stitching? You can also use these dies without stitching, they still make beautiful projects! CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS My first card uses the beautiful Stitched Poinsettia & Holly Etched Dies. I die-cut the poinsettias from Poppy Field Cardstock (both the stitching layer and back layer) and the holly from Peridot Cardstock. I then added ink blending to the layers using Distress Oxide Inks and blending brushes. I stitched the poinsettias and holly leaves using DMC Color Essentials Floss…

Enhance Die Cuts With Ink Blending With Michelle Short
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share three projects with you using the new Photosynthesis Collection. This beautiful collection features lots of florals, which I love! Since it also features mainly die cutting, I wanted to show how you can enhance die cuts by adding ink blending. This really adds interest and dimension to clean and simple cards! My first card uses Floral Stems Etched Dies. I cut the cone flower top petal layer from Snowdrift cardstock and the bottom ones from Purple Mist. I then cut the flower centers from Chamomile and the stems and leaves from Peridot. Using Blending Brushes, I blended on Distress Oxide Inks, focusing the…

A Christmas card with simple stitching and then an everyday card with the stitching stepped up a little. The great thing about the Layered Stitched Diamonds Dies is that you can mix and match different components to have lots of stitching or less stitching, for different looks. Mat a focal object with nested diamonds on a foiled background Glimmer foil Crossed Lines Cardfront (without sentiment) in Matte Gold on dark teal cardstock panel.
