Cute Critter Cards with Bibi’s Cats and Pugs Collection
Hi, friends! I’m Lauren Taylor Made and I’m so excited to be here on the Spellbinders Blog to share with you a few cute critter cards with the new Bibi’s Cats and Pugs Collection! When I saw the Big Cat Etched Die Set, I just knew it would make the perfect black cat and I thought it would be fun to give it a Halloween feel. I started with all of my die cutting from Spellbinders Cardstock – the cat pieces are cut from Onyx with the exception of the eye pieces that I cut from White and Fern, inside ears and nose from Barely Peach, tongue from Dahlia and…

A Collection for All Seasons
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Nichol’s Needlework Collection. This collection features lots of dies that can be used to create faux embroidery. If you are not into embroidery and sewing, a lot of the dies can be used without the needlework elements as well and I have one project showing that today. This collection is already very versatile but even better is that it can be used for so many occasions – everyday, Halloween, fall, autumn, Christmas and the holidays … plus lots more! CHRISTMAS MAGIC For my first card, I created a Christmas…

This collection is called Nature’s Botanical Garden and it features five floral die sets, a beautiful 3D embossing folder, and a BetterPress Sentiment Set. I think the embossing folder may be my favorite embossing folder to date! All Susan’s collections are of course stunning and this one is no exception. Believe My first card is a shaker card. I love to make shakers and I thought that it would work well with the Nature’s Botanical Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. I…

Hello there crafters! Lisa Tilson is here with you today on the Spellbinders blog and as always, I am excited to be here! Today we are going to be taking a look at the super fun Tunnel Scapes Collection designed by Vicky Papaioannou. I have absolutely loved working with this fun, playful collection. I think the modern, quirky vibe of the three tunnel scape sets is so unique and the opportunities to play with color and design are endless. The collection consists of three sets of etched dies which allow you to create these flowing layered tunnels. You then have a plethora of different options to add to the tunnels,…

Die Cutting Dioramas With Tunnel Scapes
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog using the Tunnel Scapes collection. This is such a fun collection that focuses on creating scenes with dimension, kind of like mini dioramas but more on the 2D side, rather than the 3D side. These cards can get pretty dimensional if adding foam tape in between all the tunnel layers, but they would still look great without the foam tape, or with less layers if you didn’t want them to be so bulky. I used thin foam tape for mine so that I still got the dimension but with slightly less bulk. UNDERWATER TURTLE…

Using Modeling Paste with ColorSpark Watercolor Powders and Corner Rounder Punch
Hello crafty friends! It’s Rachel Alvarado from RachelAlvaradoDesigns.com. I have a few cards to share with you showcasing how to mix modeling paste with watercolor powders. I made three cards using The Crafter’s Workshop Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste along with a variety of TCW ColorSparx Watercolor Powders and the 1-2 Punch: Corner Rounder + Notch. The technique of mixing modeling paste and watercolor powders is super easy to do and can allow you to get some vibrant colored backgrounds and/or designs on your cards. I love how versatile these watercolor powders are because you can also mix them with water to create liquid watercolors to use on your cards…

Adding Texture and Dimension to Monochromatic Cards
Hello, crafty friends, I’m Adrienne Boese and you can find me online as Alice Scraps Wonderland both on Instagram and on my blog. Today I’m going to be sharing some ideas for monochromatic cards, specifically, how to add texture and dimension, especially when you are working with a single color of cardstock for your card. There are a few ways you can add texture and dimension, but one that is really is by using dimensional stickers, like the Timeless Butterfly collection, which are the feature of this set of cards! The layered wings are perfect for adding depth to any project. Some other ways that you’ll see showcased in these…

Playing with Color and the More Freshed Picked Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of colorful cards made with the new More Fresh Picked Collection from Spellbinders. I love the bold floral designs in the Fresh Picked line, so I tried to pick some fun color combinations to use with them while adding extra touches with ink. Bright Floral Hello Card I normally try to build my floral cards using colors you might actually find in real life, but the Fresh Picked Angel Trumpets Die Set is such a unique design that I decided to pick bold colors and really amp them up with…
