May 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month Kit – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams
Hi again, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the May Embossing Folder of the Month Kit from Spellbinders. With its pretty and versatile pattern, the Faux Stitch Embossing Folder is one you’ll reach for over and over again to add subtle texture to all kinds of card projects. Tiny Sunbursts Although it mimics one of the beautiful patterns in many of the Spellbinders stitching dies, the Faux Stitch Embossing Folder also reminded me of tiny sunbursts. Here I used it to add texture to the background of a bright and pretty springtime scene. Trim a…

Scrapbook Layout with Zsoka Marko – Using Electronic and Manual Machines Together
Hi there crafty friends, Zsoka here with you today and I have a scrapbook layout to share with you using both traditional metal dies as well as digital cut files. Usually, if I do both of these die cutting techniques on my layout, I go with a large cut file to create a design element for my background and add smaller die cuts, such as leaves, hearts, flowers etc, as accents. On my page today, however, I actually created my background with a metal die set and used a cut file for my (not too large) title. I love the Color Block Slices die set, I’ve created several cards with it…

Color Block Slimline Cards | Spellbinders Live
Join Josie in the Creative Classroom as she creates a beautiful rainbow background with the Color Block Slices Dies. The Color Block Slices Dies come with two long triangle shaped dies to make sun rays, star bursts, and zigzag patterned backgrounds. These two dies take all the measuring and guesswork out of creating a similar background with a paper trimmer. Today Josie’s cute card features a white space between each colorful slice and she has a great trick to achieve an even spacing. She begins her rainbow background with one slice positioned from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Then she uses a strip of cardstock, a little less than…

Simply Perfect Collection Card Set with Lea Lawson
Hi crafty friends! Lea Lawson here today to share a card set featuring the new products from the Simply Perfect collection. This is such a fun collection of amazing dies that I would consider essential, and an embossing folder. Let’s take a look at how I created these cards! Rainbow Thank You Card For my first card I started by die cutting the Simply Perfect Layered Blooms from cardstocks in rainbow colors. You won’t use all of the diecut pieces, but I like to have all the extras on hand for future cardmaking. Next I die cut a panel from white cardstock using the largest Essentials Rectangles, then started to…
