Vintage Vibes With A Touch Of Clean & Simple
Hello there Spellbinders friends! It’s Lisa Tilson here with you today on the Spellbinders blog. I’m excited to be here to show you some ideas using the oh-so-pretty Yana’s Poppies Collection. This collection is small but nonetheless gorgeous for it. It contains a background press plate, a layering stencil set, and a set of etched dies. The stencil layering set works in conjunction with the press plate and is a quick and simple way of adding beautiful color to your projects. Thanks For my first card, I am using the Poppy Background Press Plate and the Layered Poppy Background Stencils. Instead of pressing my plate, I thought I would foil…

Hello there Spellbinders friends! Lisa Tilson here from My Card Trip and I am excited to be back here with you on the Spellbinders blog. Today I have some cards to share using the More Fresh Picked Collection. I really loved the first Fresh Picked Collection so I was delighted to be asked to make some more cards for you using the latest release. There are three new floral sets and they are all super pretty. I think they are very simple to use and they definitely come together pretty quickly if you follow the intended design. The new sets have the same style as the first collection – big,…

Playing with Color and the More Freshed Picked Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of colorful cards made with the new More Fresh Picked Collection from Spellbinders. I love the bold floral designs in the Fresh Picked line, so I tried to pick some fun color combinations to use with them while adding extra touches with ink. Bright Floral Hello Card I normally try to build my floral cards using colors you might actually find in real life, but the Fresh Picked Angel Trumpets Die Set is such a unique design that I decided to pick bold colors and really amp them up with…

Creating Eye-Catching Cards with Fine Tip Neon Pens
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and today I’m excited to share a couple of ways to add eye-popping color and the look of texture to backgrounds and die-cuts using Uchida Le Pen Neon Pens. Colors this bright can be a little intimidating to use on cards, but I promise you’ll have fun when you try it! I wanted a large canvas to play with the beautiful colors in the Uchida Le Pen Neon Pen set, so I started by applying Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Geometric Flower Background Glimmer Plate. Then I colored the petals of the flowers using a flicking motion with the pens. Since…

Creating Unique Backgrounds For Cards With Modeling Paste
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of cards using white modeling paste as a fun background element. White modeling paste can be used as-is, with stencils, or mixed with a variety of other mediums for endless possibilities in your paper crafting projects. Modeling Paste & Stencils There are lots of ways to alter modeling paste to suit your project, but with a thick and creamy consistency, it also looks great applied through stencils right from the jar. Here I created a pretty textured background for this soft spring flowers card. Apply white modeling paste through the…

Graphic Stylized Design with The Fresh Picked Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here to share some fun colorful cards made with the Fresh Picked Collection. Recently I’ve seen a lot of graphic stylized designs – large florals, fruits, or other images – manipulated so that they fit into a rectangle or other shape like a puzzle. Some describe this design as mid-century modern. You can see examples by checking out my Pinterest page here. In addition, the November Large Die of the Month Towering Blooms is also in that style. The Fresh Picked Collection has that bold aesthetic and I absolutely love it. The collection consists of 4 die sets – Buttercups, Daffodils, Berries, and Anemones. There is…
