Hello everyone, this is Gemma from mygirllollipop.com. It’s my last day on the Spellbinders blog, sharing projects highlighting the Inked Messages Collection by Stephanie Low. Here’s a link to my Day 1 and Day 2 posts, in case you missed them. My card today features the Message in a Bottle stamp and die set, perfect for sending a message to someone special. I began with the wave background, using masking tape to create a rectangle on a card base. I then placed a scallop stencil over the rectangle and blended on colour with distress oxide inks. I love the look of these abstract waves Next, I stamped the bottle image…

Video Friday | Subdued Color Palette with Kelly Latevola
Hello Crafters! I’m super excited to be back on the blog after a mini break. Today we are talking a bit about color palettes. Stephanie Low is one of my favorite artists and the Inked Messages line is amazing. I couldn’t wait to use it. Which is pretty obvious because I combined three stamp and die sets from the line to create today cards. They all just work so well together I couldn’t stop haha. I knew I wanted a soft pattern in the background and the floral accented globe was perfect. It fit the theme and the stamp is gorgeous. I stamped it out using Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and…

I used “A Rose Any Other Name Stamp and Die Set” and the sentiment is from “Grow Newer with Me Stamp and Die Set” by Stephanie Low and I added colours using Daniel Smith watercolour dots. To make this card, I started by heat embossing two flowers…

Inked Messages Inspiration | Wanderlust Galaxy Card with Gemma
Hello everyone, this is Gemma from mygirllollipop.com. I am thrilled to be guest designing on the Spellbinders blog this week. I’ll be sharing projects highlighting the Inked Messages Collection by Stephanie Low. My card today features the Wanderlust stamp and die set. When I saw this set, it made me think of Peter Pan, which inspired my card design. I began by working on the galaxy background. I used distress inks to blend colour onto a piece of watercolour card. My go-to galaxy colours are mustard seed, picked raspberry, seedless preserves, chipped sapphire, and black soot. I added lots of water droplet details, then finished by flicking the panel with…

If you’re interested in other projects with these dies, you can find them here. What do you think about combining gold and burlap? I thought about that a lot and wanted to try it in my today’s project. Here I created 5×5″ top folding card base and covered the front of it with burlap from a set of Burlap & Canvas 6×6 Sheets from Spellbinders. Then I die-cut a frame out of Spellbinders’ Gold cardstock using dies from Miss You Swirl and foam mounted it onto the card base. For…
