Hi there, this is Annie Williams and Iโm excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of colorful cards made with the new Letโs Celebrate Collection by Yana Smakula. The gorgeous floral designs and sweet sentiments in the collection inspired me to create three cards in pretty spring color schemes for all different occasions. Birthday In Blues Card The floral design in the Peony Background Press Plate is so intricate it reminded me a little of toile, so I inked it in several different shades of blue to create a backdrop for this fun floral birthday card. Apply Cruise, Teal Topaz, Azure, and Cosmic Sky BetterPress…

Getting More Mileage from Modeling Pastes with Add-ins
Hey there, Spellbinders artists and enthusiasts! Daniel West here, with some inspiration and a few tips for stenciling with TCW Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste and White Modeling Paste. Sometimes we see a simple product in basic white and wonder what we can do with it. But these pastes work like a blank canvas you can use as is or add in colors and glitter for different effects. The Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste boasts a wicked short drying time and a true-to-its-name texture. This paste lays down quickly and without fuss. When I stenciled it onto my projects, I noticed it didnโt seep in under the stencils because of…

Creating Eye-Catching Cards with Fine Tip Neon Pens
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and today Iโm excited to share a couple of ways to add eye-popping color and the look of texture to backgrounds and die-cuts using Uchida Le Pen Neon Pens. Colors this bright can be a little intimidating to use on cards, but I promise youโll have fun when you try it! I wanted a large canvas to play with the beautiful colors in the Uchida Le Pen Neon Pen set, so I started by applying Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the Geometric Flower Background Glimmer Plate.ย Then I colored the petals of the flowers using a flicking motion with the pens.ย Since…

Creating Unique Backgrounds For Cards With Modeling Paste

White modeling paste can be used as-is, with stencils, or mixed with a variety of other mediums for endless possibilities in your paper crafting projects. Modeling Paste & Stencils There are lots of ways to alter modeling paste to suit your project, but with a thick and creamy consistency, it also looks great applied through stencils right from the jar. Here I created a pretty textured background for this soft spring flowers card. Apply white modeling paste through the…

Foiled Floral Thank You Card The Thank You Blooms BetterPress Plate Set looks beautiful in different colors, but I wanted to add a touch of gold foiling to the design as well.ย Here I foiled the oversized sentiment in gold and added the flowers and leaves…

Vibrant Rainbow Palette Using Simon Hurleyโs Leaf Prints
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and Iโm happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing 3 bright, colorful cards using Simon Hurleyโs Leaf Prints stamps and dies. Leaf Prints is a set of beautiful solid (no coloring!!) red rubber stamps of leaves and there is a coordinating set of dies available. Leaf Prints is perfect for fall cards, and normally I would go with a typical autumn color palette, but I used a vibrant rainbow palette instead and I love how they came out. Although, when you get to the 3rd card, youโll see Iโm second-guessing myself. Let me know what you think. RAINBOW BOUQUET This card packs a…

More Betterpress Christmas Inspiration
Hey friends! Iโm Mindy Eggen and Iโm so excited to be on the Spellbinders blog today to share inspiration using the More BetterPress Christmas Collection. I have been looking forward to working with this collection and creating some stunning cards quickly and easily. One of my favorite things to do when working with BetterPress plates is creating backgrounds. I personally like to create the background first and then add the BetterPress design which is what I did for two of the three cards that Iโm sharing today. The first way that I wanted to add color was by watercoloring a nighttime sky for the Seasons Greetings Evergreens. After the panel…
