Creating βOceansβ Without Watercoloring Using the Seahorse Kisses Collection with Joan Bardee
Hello crafters! Iβm Joan Bardee and today I am sharing 3 ocean-themed cards using the beautiful Seahorse Kisses Collection designed by Dawn Woleslagle. As Iβm sure many of you know, Dawn Woleslagle is an amazing watercolorist. The Seahorse Kisses Collection would be beautiful watercolored. However, since Iβm not on speaking terms with watercolors, I decided to create ocean backgrounds with ink blending on specialty papers. I hope you like the results. A Modern Inky Tide This abstract modern take on ocean tides was inspired by these amazing cards that Yana Smakula made with Spellbinders Glimmer Specialty Cardstock. This paper, designed to be the perfect paper for hot foiling, has a…

Shaped Cards with Bibiβs Hummingbirds by Joan Bardee
Welcome! Joan Bardee is here today. Delighted to share 3 colorful, shaped, cards using Bibiβs Hummingbirds Collection, designed by the very talented Bibi Cameron. This collection is very different from what I (and probably you) own. If you are looking for unique and gorgeous, this is for you. The Hummingbird Card Creator die makes an approximately 5β x & 7β card in the shape of a hummingbird. Iβm also sharing another card featuring another beautiful product β the Delicate Floral Hummingbirds, which also can make a large, shaped card. You donβt have to make shaped cards with these products, but it adds a wow factor. Making a Shaped Card If…

Metamorphosis Collection Cards & Tag Ideas
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some inspiration using the Metamorphosis Collection by Simon Hurley. This is a wonderful collection that is perfect for cards, tags, scrapbook/art journals and so much more! I have two cards to share with you today, as well as a tag. HELLO I am using the In Bloom set for my first card, which is such a pretty layering floral die set. I die-cut the flower petals from Glacier, Raindrop, and Cosmic Sky Cardstock. I then cut the centers from Chamomile and the leaves and stem from Peridot Cardstock. All of the layers were ink blended on the edges using Distress Inks and then…

Four Petal Wonderful Tulips Foiling & Stenciling Step-by-Step
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share a step-by-step tutorial with you using the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set combined with the Wonderful Tulips Layered Stencils from the Four Petal Collection. STEP 1 Start off by cutting Champagne Glimmer Foil to size using Quick Trimmer. I like to have a bit of wiggle room around the foil plates but donβt want too much that can lead to over-foiling. Keep any little bits you cut off; they are perfect for sentiments! STEP 2 Take the Wonderful Tulips Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and prepare to foil onto white cardstock. I like to hold foiling plates down with Best…

Metallic Embossed CAS Cards
Hi, itβs Mona Toth here, in this post I have an easy-peasy CAS card inspiration for you with Flurry of Snowflakes 3D embossing folder. If you need an elegant card for an occasion, this design is a very good choice and the result will be eye-catching with a luxury touch. The heart of this technique are 3 elements: a 3D embossing folder with pretty pattern, a high-weight cardstock and a high-quality mirror cardstock. I decided to use the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. First, I cut a piece of 5.5β by 4.25β cardstock from the Gold and Silver Mirror Cardstocks. I also cut 2 pieces of white heavy weight…

Limited Edition Stitching Die & Stamp 2 Ways β Inspiration With Michelle Short
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some inspiration using the Limited Edition Stitching Die & Stamp Collection. I have two cards to share with you today. A Christmas card with simple stitching and then an everyday card with the stitching stepped up a little. The great thing about the Layered Stitched Diamonds Dies is that you can mix and match different components to have lots of stitching or less stitching, for different looks. There is also a stitched rectangle die that can cut the whole panel out. MERRY CHRISTMAS STITCHING For my first card, I took the base layer of Layered Stitched Diamonds, as well as the rectangle die,…

Holiday Floral Swag 3 Ways β Christmas Inspiration With Michelle Short
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some inspiration using the Christmas Collection. My post today focuses on using Holiday Floral Swag in three different ways. WHITE-ON-WHITE ORNAMENT For my first project, I wanted to go with a simple white-on-white card. I love the look of white on white and the embossing really enhances it! I started off by running a panel of white cardstock through my Platinum 6 inside the Holiday Floral Swag 3D Embossing Folder. It was then adhered to the front of an A2 white card base. For my focal point, I die-cut the Nordic Ornament from white and gold glitter cardstock (for the topper) and adhered…
