Yana’s Blooms Collection – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Yana’s Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. The gorgeous florals, versatile backgrounds and borders, and pretty sentiments in this collection inspired me to create three bold cards with tons of gold foiling. Magnolia Blooms Thank You Card Magnolias are one of my favorite early spring flowers and I couldn’t wait to use all of the beautiful versions of them in this collection. Here I’ve cut and colored the Magnolia Blooms design and added it to a pretty foiled background for this bright thank you card. Trim…

Precision Layering Basics with Jennifer Kotas
Hello! My name is Jen Kotas and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve got three cards to share with you made using the new Precision Layering Basics Dies. What wonderful sets of basic dies to ensure straight edges and perfect measurements every time. When using the A and B sets together to make a 1/16” frame, you’ll need to die cut them separately. I found it easier to cut the smaller die first, then line up the larger one and cut. It is possible, however, to cut the larger one first. Die-cut largest Precision Layering Mini Slimline A Etched Dies from white cardstock and emboss…

Hot Foiling the Be Bold Color Block Collection
Hello! My name is Jen Kotas and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve got two cards to share with you made using the new Be Bold Color Block Collection. What a fun collection with so many ways to use them creatively! I decided not to add any embellishments since there was so much shiny hot foil there already. If you don’t do hot foiling (though I highly recommend it), you could use stamps instead. For the Christmas card, you could foil the cardstock first and then die cut but I wasn’t sure what I was doing when I cut it ahead of time. Make sure…
