Frohe Weihnachten Made Easy! International Holiday Sentiments Card Tutorial
Hello, crafty friends! Isha Gupta here, and I am so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog featuring the German Holiday Sentiments. I am glad that Spellbinders came up with the international sentiments, it would be perfect for my this year’s Christmas cards. I decided to go with a Clean and Simple card design as it’s easy to mass produce, while having to prepare so much around the holiday season. I feel it’s never too soon to start on the Holiday cards, though. Even if the card is clean and simple, I will be sharing how to add dimension to it, without adding any bulk (3d foam/ layers). This makes the…

How to Create Light Up Cards in an Easy Way
Hello there, Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today, sharing two cards using the Pear Blossom Press One Light- 2 Pack. These lights make adding fun light-up elements to your cards easy. No circuits involved! The first thing to know when using these lights is that you do need to do a little forward planning for your card design. Since the light and switch are on the same piece, you need to work out where both will be placed on your card. MERRY + BRIGHT STAR I started off by die cutting the star (on my card panel) that I want lit…

Step by Step Tutorial: How to Make an Easy Shaker Card
Hi there, crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel, and today I am sharing a how to tutorial creating a shaker card and decorating it with the Cheerful Chirps Pretty Birds Die Set. The Spellbinders Cheerful Chirps Collection has several adorable bird-themed die sets. One of my favorites is the Pretty Birds dies, which showcases two sweet birds sitting on a perch. I thought it would be fun to create a shaker window behind the perch, but before we get to the shaker, let’s put the cute birds together! The birds are very simple to assemble. Add a bit of liquid adhesive to the body of the bird where you will add the…

Combine BetterPress, Die Cutting and Stamping on One Simple Card
Hi there crafty friends! I’m Rebecca Keppel. Today I am sharing a step by step tutorial of how I made a floral card with the Lisa Horton Wildflowers collection. Start by creating the background of the card. Use Best Ever Craft Tape to tape the corners of a piece of A2 BetterPress cardstock onto the clear plate of the BetterPress. Place the Script Text BetterPress Plate on the magnetic platform and swipe Tuscan BetterPress Ink on the plate to ink it up. Place the clear plate on top of the magnetic platform and run it through a die-cut machine. Tape the scalloped oval from the Scallop and Stitched Edge Ovals Etched…

Clean and Simple Cards Using the Field Notes Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with three cards featuring the Field Notes Collection. This collection includes three die sets, two BetterPress sets, a stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. I kept my cards clean and simple today. The embossing folder adds a lovely texture and design to the background allowing the die cuts and images to shine. I did not have the stamp set to use so I pulled out the Holding Your Heart Sentiments BetterPress Plates and Die Set to use instead. When I first used this set I made lots of extras. Perfect for times like this! Emboss a 4 x 5 1/4” panel of Alabaster ColorWheel…

Bold Minimalism with Justine’s Farm Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here. Today I’m using the fun and unique (check out the sentiments!!) Justine’s Farm Collection to explore a design trend called Bold Minimalism. Before we discuss Bold Minimalism, let’s review the Collection. It includes 5 sets of BetterPress LetterPress plates and dies that have farm animal themes – a farmscape, cow, sheep, rooster/hen, and pig. These sketched animals lend themselves beautifully to water coloring or using alcohol markers or colored pencils. But coloring is not my thing, and since I’ve been interested in exploring Bold Minimalism, I decided to experiment. Could I use sketched earthy images in a bold, minimalistic way? Let’s see! What is Bold…
