Stitched for Christmas Card Inspiration with Jung AhSang
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jung here, and I am back with another guest post on the Spellbinders blog. For my projects today, I’m working with the Stitched for Christmas collection. STITCHED POINSETTIA For my first card, I used the Stitched Poinsettia & Holly set, along with the Stitched Starry Argyle background die. I started by die-cutting all of the pieces in the Poinsettia & Holly die set. Then, I added stitching to the die-cuts while I sat on the couch and watched a show. I used red metallic thread for the flowers and berries, and green metallic thread for the leaves. I also die-cut a panel of white cardstock using…

It’s Time to Get Stitching with Stitched for Christmas!
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and I’m happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing some holiday cards using the Stitched for Christmas collection. Yes, Christmas! I’ve been crafting long enough to remember when companies would release their Christmas products in November, which never left me enough time to use them. So, I am thrilled to see Christmas in July. Chose a slightly nontraditional Christmas color palette, substituting aqua or teal for green. Note: I made these cards before the sentiments in this collection were available, so I used sentiments from last year’s collections. Warm & Cozy Sweater This card was inspired by all the sweaters my mom made…

Stitched For Christmas Collection – Inking Inspiration with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Stitched For Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. The beautiful new stitching designs in this collection inspired me to create three fun holiday cards with different inking techniques to create colorful die-cuts accented by more subtle stitched details. Poinsettia Window Card I naturally gravitated towards the beautiful florals in the Stitched Poinsettia and Holly Leaf Die Set first. Here I framed a window with my pretty poinsettias and added a foiled sentiment for this elegant square holiday card. I started by cutting white and Fern Cardstock using…

Stitchmas Christmas – Stitched Holiday Cards with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Stitchmas Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. The fun new stitching shapes and backgrounds in this collection inspired me to create three warm and cozy holiday cards with lots of stitched details. Stitched Joy Card The Stitched Joy Die Set creates such a beautiful focal point that I had to stitch this one up first. Here I used bright variegated floss with some rich new cardstock colors for this pretty holiday card with tons of texture. Die-cut Forest Cardstock using the Joy Base Die from the Stitched…

All Stitched Up in Traditional Christmas Colors with Jean Manis
Hello crafty friends! It’s Jean here sharing holiday cards created with the Merry Stitchmas Collection at Spellbinders. As a cross stitcher, the stitching sets always catch my eye. While I created Christmas cards, the products I used can be used beyond the holidays for paper crafting throughout the year. Let’s take a look at how I used several of the die sets in the collection. Pair a glimmer-foiled sentiment with a stitched background for a classic and elegant Christmas card. Die-cut the Circular Stitch Background from Snowdrift Stitch the circles, half-circles, and quarter-circles with Red Ruby, Emerald Green, and Light Gold floss using a size 22 needle. Affix threads to…

This is such a fun and festive collection which includes dies (including a tag set) and press plates perfect for all your holiday projects. Non-Traditional Holiday Cards with the Stitched Bright Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here sharing some fun holiday cards made with the Stitched Bright collection. It’s a fun collection of dies – Stitched Holiday Tree, Stitched String Lights, and Stitched Starfilled Background. I didn’t embroider with these dies, but that’s the beauty of stitching dies – you can use them with or without embroidery thread. These cards are boldly non-traditional, both in style and color. That works for me, but if you want to tone them down, substitute softer colors. Scalloped Tree First up is the Stitched Tree set of dies, with the fun scallop border. Die cut just the backer dies for the tree in all 3 sizes…

Seasonal Faux Stitched Cards with Nichol’s Needlework Collection
Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from whostolemyglitter.com. I’m excited to be sharing three cards featuring Nichol’s Needlework Collection from Nichol Spohr. This collection includes dies to make cards throughout the year. You could even use them without the needlework dies. Though I didn’t do it, I would recommend stamping the sentiment before die-cutting. It will produce more solid lines.i put tiny pieces of foam tape behind the gold screw fitting. You could adhere everything flat instead to avoid this. Die cut the pieces from the Gathering Stitches Etched Dies, Needleworker Tool Kit Etched Dies and Faux Embroidered Stockings Etched Dies from a variety of cardstock colors. You will also need to…

Christmas Stitching in July!
Hello there, Michelle Short here to share some projects with you using the new Stitched for Christmas Collection. This beautiful collection features lots of stitching dies to create beautiful handmade stitched projects. Not into stitching? You can also use these dies without stitching, they still make beautiful projects! CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS My first card uses the beautiful Stitched Poinsettia & Holly Etched Dies. I die-cut the poinsettias from Poppy Field Cardstock (both the stitching layer and back layer) and the holly from Peridot Cardstock. I then added ink blending to the layers using Distress Oxide Inks and blending brushes. I stitched the poinsettias and holly leaves using DMC Color Essentials Floss…
