HAVE FUN WITH SNOWFLAKES!
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Simon Hurley Let It Snow Collection. This wonderful collection features lots of dies that are perfect for winter, Christmas and the holidays. My three projects all feature snowflakes used in different ways. MERRY CHRISTMAS PENGUIN For my first card, I am using the beautiful Frozen Flurries die (which can be used in so many different ways!) as well as Playful Penguins. To make this card: Emboss/deboss Frozen Flurries Etched Dies (without the outside frame) onto a panel of white cardstock using Platinum Six. Add ink blending to panel using…

Perfect BetterPress Sentiments for Every Season
Hello, it’s Jean Manis here and I am excited to share three cards created with products in the Spellbinders All Seasons Scrapbooking Collection. The lowercase script font used in the sentiments has a timeless elegance and versatile appeal, making the sentiments perfect for any season and occasion. I have used three of the collection’s BetterPress sets and one of the die sets, along with other Spellbinders die sets, to create a fall, a Christmas, and an Easter card. On the fall card, seasonal flowers are paired with a BetterPress sentiment that says “These golden days,” evoking the warmth and beauty of autumn. Cover an A-2 size card base with a…

Crafty Lessons Learned with the Happy Hour Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here. The fantastic Happy Hour Collection consists of 2 cocktail glasses and other unique items to use with or without the glasses. It’s clever and my favorite of everything Spellbinders has released so far this year. Today I’m sharing a brayered background, an explosion of color blocking, and a cheeky Halloween card. None of these contain new ideas, but I learned a few things along the way that I will share with you. I hope you enjoy the cards as much as I enjoyed making them. CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL WITH A BRAYERED BACKGROUND A holiday card with a martini glass and a brayered background are both out…

Non-Traditional Holiday Cards with the Stitched Bright Collection
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here sharing some fun holiday cards made with the Stitched Bright collection. It’s a fun collection of dies – Stitched Holiday Tree, Stitched String Lights, and Stitched Starfilled Background. I didn’t embroider with these dies, but that’s the beauty of stitching dies – you can use them with or without embroidery thread. These cards are boldly non-traditional, both in style and color. That works for me, but if you want to tone them down, substitute softer colors. Scalloped Tree First up is the Stitched Tree set of dies, with the fun scallop border. Die cut just the backer dies for the tree in all 3 sizes…

A Collection for All Seasons
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using Nichol’s Needlework Collection. This collection features lots of dies that can be used to create faux embroidery. If you are not into embroidery and sewing, a lot of the dies can be used without the needlework elements as well and I have one project showing that today. This collection is already very versatile but even better is that it can be used for so many occasions – everyday, Halloween, fall, autumn, Christmas and the holidays … plus lots more! CHRISTMAS MAGIC For my first card, I created a Christmas…

Seasonal Faux Stitched Cards with Nichol’s Needlework Collection
Hello! I’m Jen Kotas from whostolemyglitter.com. I’m excited to be sharing three cards featuring Nichol’s Needlework Collection from Nichol Spohr. This collection includes dies to make cards throughout the year. You could even use them without the needlework dies. Though I didn’t do it, I would recommend stamping the sentiment before die-cutting. It will produce more solid lines.i put tiny pieces of foam tape behind the gold screw fitting. You could adhere everything flat instead to avoid this. Die cut the pieces from the Gathering Stitches Etched Dies, Needleworker Tool Kit Etched Dies and Faux Embroidered Stockings Etched Dies from a variety of cardstock colors. You will also need to…

Easy and Fun Cards with the Out and About Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of cute cards made with the new Out and About Collection. The adorable die sets in this collection were all designed to work with the new Scout Mini Diecutting Machine, but I think you’ll see that the smaller cutting platform doesn’t limit your creativity at all! Here I picked some of my favorite die sets from the collection to create three really fun cards that are sure to send a smile. Dancing in the Rain Card I couldn’t resist that adorable duck from the Dancin’ In The Rain Die Set,…
