Gladiolus Birthday Card The Layered Gladiolus Die Set creates a beautiful focal point perfect for all kinds of cards. This wonderful collection features wildflowers, some fabulous background elements and fantastic sentiments. Everything works well together, but you can use elements separately too! BIRTHDAY WISHES My first card uses the Layered Gladiolus Etched Dies for my focal point, combined with one of the sentiment sets, plus the Script Text BetterPress Plate for a subtle background. Two Kite Cards Using Sky’s the Limit Collection
Hello! Jen Kotas here today with two cards featuring the Simon Hurley Sky’s the Limit Collection. This collection includes two die sets, a BetterPress sentiment plate and die set, plus a 3D embossing folder and coordinating stencils. I chose a playful color combination, then picked ink colors and cardstock colors that worked great together. I used a half piece of white cardstock with the Flying Kites 3D Embossing Folder to embossed panel. Then, I added color to the embossed images using the Layered Flying Kites Stencil. Next, I die cut hearts from the Up and Away Etched Dies out of Saffron, Wild Berry, and Teal Topaz ColorWheel Cardstock. I finished…

Filmstrips and Florals: Scrapbooking With Golden Afternoon
Hello crafty friends! My name is Suzanna Lee. I am absolutely thrilled to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog again and today I am sharing a couple of layouts that feature the Rosie’s Studio – Golden Afternoon collection along with the coordinating Dies and Press Plates. For this layout, I used one of the darker 12×12 patterned papers to frame the layout as I needed the dark contrast of the paper to minimize the stark contrast with the lighter papers and product in the collection and my dark main photo. We were dining inside in a dark alcove and there was just no “improving” the photo. Not even balck…

Easy and Inky Cards with the Collaged Birds Collection
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of fun cards made with the new Collaged Birds Collection by Dina Wakley. The beautiful BetterPress plates and versatile embossing folders in this collection inspired me to create three easy and inky cards for a variety of occasions. Hello Friend Card I love a good embossing folder and never hesitate to make it the star of the show. When I saw the Soaring 3D Embossing Folder, I knew I couldn’t cover up any of the gorgeous detail so I played with some inky techniques and added only minimal embellishments for…

Three Techniques Using Dina Wakley Collaged Birds
Hello! Jen Kotas is here today with three cards featuring the Dina Wakley Collaged Birds Collection. This collection includes two embossing folders, two registration press plates sets and a set with many press plate sentiments. I decided to combine hot foiling and impressing with the registration press plates and I love how they turned out. Remember to use BetterPress Cotton Card Panels for your foiling if you are combining it with the BetterPress System. I would also suggest hot foiling first because in my experience I’m more likely to need to redo foiling than impressing. Line up the registration template for the Collaged Birds Registration Plates over an A2 Porcelain…

The first card I created features the COLLAGED BIRDS Better Press…
